Saudi university expands working hours
A university is not just a building that opens its doors during working hours but a vibrant academic community where research and learning continue beyond official working times. The article highlights the importance of developing flexible operational models for university facilities, allowing access to libraries, laboratories, and research spaces during late hours or around the clock, to maximize the utilization of investment capacities by providing a dynamic academic environment that supports research and innovation. It also emphasizes the necessity of measuring resource efficiency through usage rates and the availability of supplies, rather than merely owning equipment, with the aim of enhancing scientific and innovative productivity and achieving developmental and economic returns from the substantial investments made in infrastructure and laboratories.
