Nepal Flood Elephant Videos Stir Debate

The claims that elephants from Nepal crossed the border into India during the floods are incorrect. In fact, the footage showing five elephants stranded in the Kaudiyala River in Uttar Pradesh, India, pertains to an incident that occurred there before the floods in Nepal. Rescue teams helped the animals return to safe areas, and there is no evidence to suggest that the elephants came from Nepal or participated in rescue operations in the border region.
