MASAM clears 819 landmines in Yemen

In the fourth week of August 2026, the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center's "Masam" project successfully demined 819 landmines from Yemeni territory, including anti-personnel mines, anti-tank mines, unexploded ordnance, and explosive devices. Since the beginning of August, the total number of mines removed has risen to 10,099, and since the start of the project, a total of 588,325 mines have been cleared, all aimed at protecting civilians and promoting peace in Yemen. The center's efforts are considered part of a humanitarian initiative to enable Yemenis to live safely and with dignity, with Saudi Arabia continuing its support for these operations.
