Akil Al-Shaibani new CEO of Saudi Tourism

Aqeel Al-Shaibani has been appointed as the CEO of the Saudi Tourism Authority, starting from September 1, 2026. He previously served as the Deputy Minister of Tourism for Strategic Planning and contributed to the development of the national tourism strategy and its initiatives, in addition to his role as Head of Strategy at the Mohammed bin Salman Foundation (Misk). His appointment comes as part of his support for the tourism sector and the achievement of its strategic goals in the Kingdom.
