Al-Shibani Condemns Israeli Actions
Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad Shibli reiterated Damascus's firm stance on fully returning to the 1974 Separation of Forces Agreement, criticizing ongoing Israeli attacks and incursions into southern Syria. He noted that 65 Israeli infiltrations were recorded in July and that 147 people have been detained since the beginning of the year, with 49 still in custody. He emphasized that Damascus advocates for a diplomatic solution and considers the entrenchment of Israeli occupation in the region as a declaration of support. Tensions between the two sides remain high amid American efforts to broker a security agreement.
