Ministry Explains Rights for Unresponsive Product Defects
The Ministry of Commerce clarified consumers' rights if manufacturing defects appear in products during the warranty period. Consumers have the right to approach the authorized dealer and request repairs. If the dealer refuses to cooperate, they can submit an official complaint through the "Balagh Tijari" (Commercial Complaint) app, providing all relevant details of the issue to the competent authorities. The ministry emphasized the importance of using official channels to facilitate the processing of complaints and to expedite resolution procedures, especially in cases where reaching a solution with the dealer is difficult, such as refusal to repair the product or recurring problems.
