The General Directorate of Passports in Saudi Arabia explains that the "Exit and Not Return" status for workers or residents who leave the Kingdom with a Exit and Re-entry visa and disappear during its validity period is automatically dropped after 6 months from the visa's expiration. Alternatively, the employer can delete this status via the Absher platform after 30 days have passed since the visa expired. This procedure is used to address cases where the worker has not returned within the specified timeframe and aims to update the worker's record in the electronic system, providing online services that facilitate completing procedures without visiting branches. It has been clarified that this status particularly concerns drivers and domestic workers, and it is applied to ensure clear management of cases where workers have left and not returned, with regular activation of procedures to guarantee the security of the records.
