Al Hilal probes English clubs
The article reviews the transfer deal of Al-Hilal's Brazilian player Gabriel Martinelli from Arsenal Football Club to Al-Hilal for 283 million riyals (65 million euros) in a four-year contract. This is one of the biggest deals in the history of the English club, as he has played 278 matches and scored 62 goals with Arsenal since joining in 2019. This transfer marks the third foreign signing for Al-Hilal in the current summer transfer window, following the transfers of Crisencio Samarfeil from West Ham United and Olie Watkins from Aston Villa. Martinelli played a heroic role with the Brazilian national team in the recent World Cup, and he won the English Premier League title with Arsenal last season, reached the UEFA Champions League final, and received the Community Shield award in 2023. Martinelli is considered one of the most prominent and expensive signings in Arsenal's history, reflecting Al-Hilal's goal of strengthening its squad with distinguished international players.
