During the Republican Party conference in Dallas, U.S. President Donald Trump pledged to give every adult American $5,000 if the party maintains its majority in Congress after the upcoming midterm elections in November. The total cost of this promise could exceed one trillion dollars. Trump justified his ability to fulfill this promise by stating that the United States is making significant financial profits, despite economic and political challenges, including rising living costs and the repercussions of the war with Iran. He also defended the war against Iran, linking its end to declining oil and food prices, and even suggested naming the Strait of Hormuz after himself. Meanwhile, the Republican Party is focusing on its economic policies, including tax cuts, boosting production, and tightening immigration policies, aiming to energize its electoral base and regain control of Congress before the elections.
