Canadian pension fund leads investment plan
The Canadian Public Sector Pension Investment Board announced plans to increase its domestic investments by approximately one-third, reaching CAD 100 billion (USD 72.4 billion) in the coming years. This move is part of its efforts to expand investments within Canada, particularly in infrastructure sectors, with projections indicating that the value of local assets will rise from CAD 75 billion to a higher level. The board also intends to organize an investment summit in Toronto, bringing together leading investors to discuss more than 160 projects in areas such as data centers, advanced manufacturing, liquefied natural gas, ports, and the mining sector, with the goal of attracting CAD 500 billion in investments over the next five years.
