Oil exceeds $100 after 4 months
Oil prices rose today, as they head toward ending the week above $100 per barrel for the first time since mid-May. Brent crude increased by $1.05 to reach $108.68, while West Texas Intermediate traded at $103.45, up 95 cents. This rise comes amidst global market tensions and expectations of a 3% economic growth in 2026. With oil prices increasing by more than 5% for the first time since May, this coincides with rising interest rates and their impact on global markets.
