The Crown Prince Festival for Camels achieved a new record in the number of races conducted, with a total of 4,050 heats held since its inception in 2018. The competition has seen intense participation from both Arab and international contestants. In the current edition, which continues until September 13, the camel "Tawari," owned by Jordanian Saif Al-Zuwaydeh, won the fourth race—also the 4,000th race in the festival's history—with a time of 8 minutes and 28.907 seconds. This success reflects the festival’s ability to maintain its status as a distinguished sporting event, offering prizes exceeding 50 million riyals. The competitions also showcased dominance by mares from Jordan, Egypt, and Sudan, with record-breaking times, including 2 minutes, 56.660 seconds for the Sudanese camel "Hala," which recorded the fastest time in the Arab heats.
