India suggests safety network for BRICS sailors
During the BRICS summit, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi proposed establishing an emergency support network for sailors to enhance their safety, especially in light of the attacks they have faced since the start of the conflict between the United States and Iran. This proposal comes as part of efforts to support developing countries and expand their role in shaping global rules. Modi emphasized the importance of cooperation to support the independence of BRICS member states, describing the summit as a historic event aimed at strengthening relations and joint efforts on economic, health, and technological issues, with a focus on making the Global South a more active player on the international stage.
