Riyadh Leads in Ardha Permits
The article highlights that Riyadh region ranked first in issuing permits for the Saudi Ardha during the second quarter of 2026, with the Ministry issuing a total of 346 permits, including 244 permits, accounting for 70.52%. This reflects the city's importance as a major center for this national traditional art form. The Saudi Ardha is among the most prominent performing arts in the Kingdom, combining poetry, chants, drums, and sword-bearing, and is closely associated with patriotism and historical identity. It was listed in UNESCO's Intangible Heritage List in 2015. Additionally, permit issuance is organized through the "Abda'a" platform, and the figures indicate that many other regions did not record any permits during that period.
