Legal Awareness Gap in 270 Cases
The article focused on the efforts of the M'ayeen Legal Society in Al-Ahsa, which handled 270 various cases over the course of three and a half years. The most prominent cases involved personal status issues, divorce, inheritance, alimony, and assault. The data reveals a gap in legal awareness within the community, particularly among the most vulnerable groups, leading to rights being lost or problems arising that could have been avoided with early knowledge. The society offers services including consultations, legal representation through a team of volunteer and contracted lawyers, and awareness-raising efforts through 16 educational seminars in collaboration with King Faisal University and the Faculty of Law. The initiatives aim to reduce problems before they occur by promoting prevention and legal empowerment. Additionally, they focus on establishing community partnerships with various organizations to ensure that individuals from different regions receive proper legal support.
