When will we improve beyond mid-rank in PISA
The article discussed the results of the PISA 2025 test, highlighting an improvement in Saudi Arabia's ranking. It emphasized, however, that continuous progress alone is not enough to achieve an advanced position in the global education standings. The article stressed the need for education to focus on elevating the level of all students, not just the gifted, by enhancing the quality of classrooms and fostering students' understanding, creativity, and application of knowledge in their lives—rather than merely preparing for tests. It called for a review of the education system and increased investment in teachers and curricula, acknowledging that these results are not the end but rather the beginning of genuine improvements aligned with the Kingdom’s ambitions across various sectors.
