Al Taawoun Club recorded the first coaching termination in the Saudi Pro League after its loss to Al Hilal with a six-nothing score, which led to the termination of the Serbian coach Zarko Lazetic's contract. The club had signed him for two million dollars for one season. The team failed to secure a victory in the first seven rounds, and the coach's monthly salary was approximately $166,700. His contract also included additional benefits such as living expenses and the possibility of recruiting a player from Serbia. After the loss to Al Hilal, Al Taawoun's management decided to end their relationship with Lazetic and appointed Jihad Hussain to lead the team.
