Iran announced that it will officially publish tomorrow an agreement to establish a temporary maritime corridor through the Strait of Hormuz. This comes after diplomatic talks that included a rare meeting with officials from Abu Dhabi and Oman. The agreement will be presented to Gulf countries while negotiations continue over some details, such as transit fees for ships. Tehran indicated that this agreement does not mean opening the entire strait, and that it will retain control over which ships are allowed to pass.
