Sports community reacts to Al-Hilal star chants
The stadium chants by Al-Tawon's fans against Al-Hilal star Robin Neves sparked widespread reactions in the sports community, as the player was targeted with provocative reminders of the death of his former teammate, Diego Jota, during a match between the two teams. Media figures and officials condemned this behavior, which goes against the spirit of sportsmanship and is considered an unacceptable provocation. The Saudi Arabian Football Federation and the Roshn League have released statements condemning these practices, and the relevant committees have begun taking the necessary legal actions. Additionally, Al-Ittihad has filed an official complaint to protect its rights, while some have called for punishing the offenders directly, without holding the clubs responsible for individual actions.
