Crown Prince Hajj Festival for Camels Continues Legacy
The Prince Crown Camel Festival 2026, held at the Taif Field, experienced significant expansion and development that reflect the attention and support of the Saudi leadership, especially Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, for the sport of camels. Since its launch in 2018, the festival has contributed to reinforcing the value of camels as part of the Kingdom's cultural identity, introducing new activities such as "Mazayen" races, Saudi production programs, and launching the Points Cup for Saudi participants. In its eighth edition, the festival set a record with over 4,000 races across different categories, and the total number of participating camels reached approximately 118,000, indicating an expanded base of participation and a rich competitive atmosphere. The festival aims to preserve and promote cultural heritage, develop its infrastructure, and open economic opportunities for owners and producers, all while maintaining the place of camels as an integral part of the Kingdom’s historic and cultural fabric, in line with a sustainable Saudi vision that combines the past and the present.
