The Asian Champions League matches have witnessed the launch of the first stage, featuring a historic participation of Saudi clubs, with five teams participating for the first time in history. This was made possible by the Asian Football Confederation's decision to increase the number of spots for higher-ranked countries. Al-Ahli and Al-Qadsiah began their campaigns with positive results, as Al-Ahli drew with Bactakhor Uzbeki 1-1 in a match that saw Bactakhor take the lead through Flamarion Gouveia in the 86th minute, only for Al-Ahli to respond with Firas Al-Breikan in stoppage time. Qadsiah achieved a historic victory over Al Wasl of the United Arab Emirates, winning 2-1 and securing their first three points in the competition. The remaining matches are scheduled for tomorrow, with Al-Nassr facing Al-Ain from the UAE, and Al-Hilal hosting Al-Gharafa from Qatar, as the rest of the rounds are awaited to be completed.
