Saud documents European history
Saudi football player Saud Abdulhamid made history for his country by participating in the UEFA Champions League for the first time-ever when he played with his French team, Lens, against Sporting Lisbon. Despite the team's 2-0 loss, Abdulhamid achieved a historic milestone by appearing in the European competition, having previously played in the Europa League with AS Roma. Abdulhamid joined Lens on loan in summer 2025, and the purchase option was activated, allowing him to continue his career with the French club—making his participation in the Champions League a landmark moment in his professional journey.
