1,147 Seizures at Customs
Saudi Arabia’s land, sea and air customs outlets recorded 1,147 seizures in one week as part of the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority’s efforts to strengthen security and protect the community. The seizures included 48 types of narcotics, 270 prohibited substances, 839 tobacco products and derivatives, and nine categories of monetary items. The Authority urged the public to report smuggling by calling 1910, assuring them that reports would remain confidential and that rewards would be given when the information provided was accurate.
