The Asian Football Confederation has rescheduled the 2027 AFC Asian Cup in Saudi Arabia. The tournament will now run from December 23, 2027, to January 21, 2028, instead of January 7 to February 5, 2027, due to recent developments and travel and logistical considerations. The new dates will be submitted to FIFA for approval. Saudi Arabia will remain the host, while the Roshn Saudi League has decided to postpone Matchweek 13 and review the season schedule to balance fixtures and take into account player rest and club and national-team commitments.
