White House narrative
Nuqman returned to his father’s village, which his father had left after the villagers kept mocking him over an embarrassing incident. Nuqman resolved to take revenge on them through a clever scheme. He won over the village headman and the faqih with money, then persuaded the villagers to build a white house out of quartz. He lived in it for a month without paying them what he owed, while the faqih helped spread the rumor that he was bewitched and could no longer control his actions. On Friday morning, the house burned down, leaving the headman embarrassed in front of the villagers after they had become entangled in the affair of the white house.
