Eloquent Saudi Patriots
Al-Watan highlights stories of Saudis who have combined excellence with courage. Rayan Al-Zakri read 260 books and placed third in the Arab Reading Challenge, while Prince Abdulaziz bin Khalid took third place in the Energy and Industry Entrepreneurship track at Ibda 2026. In acts of humanity, Abdulhamid Al-Sharari tried to help injured people after an attack on King Khalid International Airport, despite being injured himself. Nurse Miad Al-Anzi saved an 11-month-old baby; Abdulrazzaq Al-Ruwaili rescued someone from drowning in Dubai; and Samah Al-Dosari led a family to safety from a fire in Najran. Mohammed Al-Asmari won first place in his category at ISEF 2026, which brought together more than 1,700 students from around 70 countries. Saudi participants won a total of 24 international awards. Boxer Sultan Al-Mohammed recorded his sixth professional victory without a loss, dedicating it to the soldiers stationed on the front lines.
