Ferland Mendy faces legal challenges
A Spanish court has issued a ruling to initiate the trial of Real Madrid defender Ferland Mendy on charges of gross negligence after his dogs escaped and attacked pedestrians in January 2023. His negligence led to his dogs leaving the player's home, resulting in injuries to a woman, her dog, and a teenager, as well as the death of the dog due to the attack. It was also revealed that the dogs were not microchipped or covered by insurance. Mendy faces demands for a fine of up to 1,200 euros and compensation totaling 22,500 euros, with a bail of 7,410 euros set for the upcoming trial.
