Barcelona player nearly joined Real Madrid in 2020
Ferran Torres's career path could have taken a different turn, as he was close to transferring to Real Madrid in 2020, after attracting the attention of the club's scouts due to his impressive performances with Spain's youth national teams. However, Valencia's review of his contract and his promotion to the first team led to an increase in his market value, preventing the deal from going through. Ultimately, Torres chose to move to Manchester City for 33 million euros before later joining Barcelona. Currently, there is speculation about his future at the Catalan club and his potential involvement in a swap deal with Atletico Madrid.
