Bayern Munich is working on extending the contract of their French star, Michael Olesen, until 2031, following his outstanding performance with the French national team in the 2026 World Cup. The goal is to keep him away from the interest of major clubs like Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain. The club is also considering doubling his annual salary to approximately 24 million euros, making him one of the highest-paid players on the team. Coach Vincent Kompany emphasizes the player's importance as a key pillar for the future. Olesen played a vital role last season, scoring 20 goals and providing 25 assists, and he is still competing for the Ballon d'Or award.
