Algerian Italian team forward Matteo Retiqi has begun training at a Spanish camp in Girona in preparation for the new season, ahead of the rest of the team’s arrival. Retiqi suffered a broken ankle in April during a match against Al Shabab, which kept him out of last season. Also joining the camp is Moroccan left-back Sufyan Al-Karouani, who has signed a contract with the club until 2029. The training sessions are overseen by his coach, Brendan Rodgers, as the team prepares for friendly matches ahead of the upcoming season.
