Abu Dhabi Marathon 2023 set for December 12
The Abu Dhabi Sports Council, in collaboration with ADNOC, is organizing the eighth edition of the Abu Dhabi Marathon on December 12, 2026, along the city’s Corniche. The marathon includes four different race distances: the full marathon (42.195 kilometers), 10 kilometers, 5 kilometers, and a 2.5-kilometer race for families and children. In preparation for the event, two preparatory races will be held in Dhafra and Al Ain to enable runners to test their readiness ahead of the main marathon, which is expected to attract professional and amateur runners from around the world. Since its inception in 2018, the marathon has seen growing participation and record-breaking numbers, with over 37,000 participants in the previous edition. A large spectator village will be established starting December 7 to enhance the festive atmosphere.
