The article features old statements from Dani Carvajal, the Real Madrid player, which demonstrate his support and backing for Rodri's transfer from Manchester City to the Royal Club. In 2024, he stated that if the decision were in his hands, he would sign with Rodri without hesitation, emphasizing that the club needs him and that he is a hometown player. He considered Real Madrid's signing of the player to be a logical choice. Conversely, a Catalan journalist's account emerged claiming that Carvajal advised Rodri against transferring, which contradicts the player's previous statements. This raises questions about his true position regarding the deal. The old statements clearly indicate that Carvajal was supportive of Real Madrid's desire to sign Rodri, undermining the narrative that he advised against the transfer and highlighting a discrepancy in his stances.
