The 2026-2027 UEFA Champions League season launched the "First Appearance Badge" initiative in collaboration with Fanatex company. This badge is awarded to players participating in the tournament for the first time and is raised after the match to be handed over to "Tops" company for manufacturing, presented as a signed, officially certified card. The initiative applies to all players who play at least one minute. The badge is placed on the shirt before being removed and is included in a series of rare collectible cards. This move comes as part of Fanatex's expansion into the sports collectibles market, following previous successes in various sports, and is expected to coincide with an extension of the partnership reflecting the European Football Association's desire to provide fans with unique products. Anticipations are high that this will break records in the collectibles market.
