The Ghana Football Association has reappointed Portuguese coach Carlos Queiroz, aged 73, as the head coach of the national team for an indefinite period, following his resignation from the team's management after Ghana's participation in the World Cup. Queiroz led the "Black Stars" to the Round of 32 in the tournament, despite having had only a short period to prepare the team before the competition. His new assignment will begin with the upcoming international break. The association trusts his extensive international experience and familiarity with the Ghanaian team, and further details are expected to be announced soon. Meanwhile, the team is preparing to face Ivory Coast in the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers for 2027, scheduled from September 21 to October 6.
