Colombian Richard Rios, a player for Al-Ittihad's first football team, arrived in Jeddah on Thursday evening coming from Benfica in Portugal, in preparation for the field tests that the club's management will conduct on Thursday and Friday. The purpose of these tests is to assess his ability to participate in the upcoming derby match against Al-Nassr on Saturday in the Saudi Pro League. This comes after Al-Ittihad signed him for one season, making him the second foreign player the club has signed this summer. Rios (26 years old) joined Benfica in July 2025 and played in 51 matches, scoring 8 goals and providing 7 assists. The team is currently focusing on technical and tactical training to face Al-Nassr, with the coaching staff led by Jens Vissing aiming to prepare him for the upcoming game.
