A Spanish news report has revealed that Barcelona's coach, Hansie Flick, deliberately limited the participation of young Egyptian forward Hamza Abdel Karim in official matches, with his involvement restricted to just 5 minutes over the first three La Liga rounds, despite his impressive performance and scoring 4 goals during pre-season. It is believed that the purpose of this decision is to protect the player from European clubs' ambitions, especially English teams that might seek to sign him, given his current low release clause of 15 million euros—a relatively modest figure compared to his potential value. It is expected that the release clause will be increased to 150 million euros after the summer transfer window closes, providing Barcelona with better protection and creating an opportunity to enhance his role in the team in the future.
