Carlos Alcaraz, the Spanish tennis star, announced that he will seek to reduce the number of tournaments he participates in moving forward due to increasing injuries and fatigue resulting from a busy tournament schedule. After winning the US Open, he confirmed that he plans to take long breaks, possibly lasting a month or two, to minimize injuries that affect his professional career, especially since he recently recovered from a four-month wrist injury. He pointed out that an increased number of tournaments contributes to more injuries among players and leads to greater fatigue, which in turn makes them more prone to injuries. He also indicated that he intends to skip some future tournaments to protect his health.
