Legal Experts: Agreement Less Strong Than Harbour

The article discusses Al-Ittihad Club's stance regarding legal proceedings against American Ben Harbour, the president of Al Khloud Club, following his comment on the design of the team's third kit, which he described as "the ugliest shirt I've seen in my life." Legal experts confirmed that the likelihood of the Saudi Football Federation intervening in this case is low, as there is no clear evidence of a legal violation. They explained that the comment is considered personal opinion and does not constitute a breach of regulations, especially since it does not contain direct slander or insult. Additionally, they pointed out that initiating legal action by Al-Ittihad is unnecessary, because the Disciplinary Committee has the authority to take automatic measures in such cases if the statements are deemed to incite public opinion or conflict with sports ethics. On its part, Al-Ittihad’s management affirmed its intention to take the necessary legal steps to protect the club's reputation, while Harbour continues engaging on social media, expressing his discontent with the club’s actions and responses to his comments.
