Former Liverpool player, Gordan Ebi, has been convicted of assaulting his former partner during a confrontation in London, where he pulled her hair and left her without a braid. Yesterday, the court sentenced him to 12 months of community service, a fine of £764, in addition to performing volunteer hours and committing to rehabilitation activities. Ebi, who is 30 years old, pleaded guilty and expressed remorse, but avoided prison despite being convicted of assault and causing bodily harm. The incident occurred last December, after his partner requested the return of some money, which escalated into a dispute that resulted in her hair being damaged. It’s worth noting that Ebi, who began his career at Charlton Athletic's academy, played for Liverpool and Bournemouth before finishing his career in lower league clubs in England and Bulgaria.
