The female athletes of Sharjah Women’s Sports Club achieved outstanding results at the 2026 Switzerland Open Taekwondo Championship, with Noor Issa Al-Shamili and Majida Rashed Al-Ketbi securing gold medals in the junior categories. Their performances contributed to the club winning the second-place trophy in the junior division. Additionally, Shamma Mohamed Al-Suwaidi and Rayan Najeeb Al-Zaabi earned bronze medals in the adult category, bringing Sharjah clubs’ total medal count to four at the tournament. These accomplishments align with the strategic plan to develop technical and tactical performance, focusing on building the athletes’ capabilities and achieving technical progress despite the challenges posed by more experienced competitors. The goal is to prepare qualified athletes for competition at regional and international levels, ultimately aiming for Olympic participation.
