Chinese player Zheng Qinwen defeated Polish player Iga Swiatek 7-5, 6-3 at the US Open Tennis Championships, despite having qualified through the qualifiers and experiencing a dip in her performance earlier. She successfully turned around a 0-5 deficit in the first set and handled the pressure well, securing her victory over a rival she had previously lost to in past encounters. In the next round, she will face the winner of the Osaka vs. Rabakina match. Zheng has shown impressive performance under pressure and has achieved a surprise by eliminating the reigning champion.
