Arthur Fils, ranked 11th in the world in tennis, announced his withdrawal from the France versus Canada match in the Davis Cup due to the need to be cautious about his health after a physically demanding year, especially following his unexpected defeat at the US Open. Despite making a strong return at the start of 2025 and winning the Barcelona Open, his lower back injury and its impact on his well-being led him to decide to thoroughly evaluate his health before resuming competition. The French team will face Canada in September in Quebec, and his withdrawal is considered an important decision to safeguard his health and athletic future.
