A complaint filed by the organization "Fair Square" accuses FIFA President Gianni Infantino of violating the federation's Code of Ethics, due to his relationships with U.S. President Donald Trump. It hints at potential abuse of power for personal gain, particularly through his intervention in the American striker Folarin Balogun's red card incident during the last World Cup, following a phone call between Trump and Infantino. The complaint also includes allegations of scandals related to controversial investment deals and threats from the European Union to boycott FIFA events, as well as crises during Infantino's tenure. Despite this, he plans to run for re-election in the upcoming March.
