Failed rescue leads to mockery in Israeli billiards
French Deputy Julien Audoul actively expressed his criticism of the punishment of Israeli national team player Sayed Abu Farha, who was ejected during a match against Austria, after he made a move that the referee considered to be simulation of a gunfire. Audoul claimed that the player's action was simply a gesture of the corner flag in a manner similar to a billiard shot. He described the punishment as exaggerated and concerning, voicing his fears of possible anti-Semitic implications. His comments sparked widespread ridicule on social media, where it was pointed out that his interpretation was inaccurate and showed a neglect of other issues. Some commentators called for sanctions against those who belittle the significance of Holocaust fires, emphasizing that the move did not resemble the raising of a cue stick in billiards.
