Saudi national team loses fourth player before Qatar
The Saudi national football team has suffered a new injury setback ahead of their semi-final match against Qatar in the Gulf Cup 2023. Left-back Zakariya Hawsawi will be unable to participate due to an injury sustained during the match between Saudi Arabia and Iraq. Hawsawi is the fourth player to be lost to the team because of injury in the tournament, following Nawaq Al Aqidi, Alaa Al Haji, and Hassan Kadoosh. Coach Greek Georgios Donis is relying on Mutab Al Harbi in the left-back position after making previous changes to rest some players.
