Hoejlund's reply to Mendes about Ronaldo
A report states that Cristiano Ronaldo's absence from Portugal's match against Denmark in the UEFA Nations League sparked controversy. Danish player Rasmus Højlund imitated the famous "Siu" celebration gesture during the match. An alleged message appeared on an account linked to Ronaldo’s former agent, Jorge Mendes, discussing Portugal's alleged lack of appreciation for Ronaldo. However, Højlund denied the authenticity of that message. It is worth noting that Højlund confirmed his support for Ronaldo, who scored the equalizer in the match and dedicated it to his idol. This occurred despite the tension prior to the game, as Ronaldo had announced his departure from the squad after not being selected to play against Norway, which had strained his relationship with coach Jèsus.
