Shaleel at Falcon and Hunting Show
The "Shalael" wing at the Saudi International Falcon and Hunting Exhibition 2026 offers a free simulated experience of a falcon hunting trip, featuring a theatrical family story that combines live and visual scenes. The experience covers the preparations for falcon hunting and the tools used, showcasing a desert environment with sand, rocks, and plants. Concurrently, large screens display scenes of the road, the campsite, and the atmosphere of the trip. The story begins with a father and his sons gathering in the morning to prepare for departure, including explanations of falconry tools and the falcon's readiness. It then follows the preparations from obtaining permits to arriving at the campsite, culminating in the hunting of the Iraqi mesopotamos (Houbara bustard) and celebrating the fruits of the hunting journey, highlighting the cultural heritage associated with falconry. The experience aims to introduce visitors to the practices and essentials of falcon hunting, reflecting a part of the rich tradition of falconry and outdoor hunting.
