Africa's Championship and Morocco-Senegal Clash
The article discusses the legal dispute regarding the final of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, following the decision by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) which considered Senegal to have withdrawn from the final match, resulting in Morocco being awarded a 3-0 victory. A hearing is taking place at the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) in Lausanne, Switzerland, with representatives from the Moroccan and Senegalese football associations present, to consider three possible scenarios: upholding CAF's decision while maintaining Morocco's victory, accepting Senegal's appeal and declaring them the champions, or overturning the decision and returning the case for further review. The date for a verdict has not yet been announced, and the outcome of this case will depend on the court’s assessment of the validity and legality of CAF's decision.
