Maouloul sets record among top Algerian coaches
Nabil Maaloul, the head coach of Algerian club CR Belouizdad, tops the list of the highest-paid coaches in the Algerian league, with a monthly salary of 65,000 euros (about 70,000 dollars), surpassing the previous record set by German Jozef Zinnbauer at 60,000 euros per month. Maaloul's coaching staff—including assistant coaches, fitness trainers, and video analysts—receives combined salaries of over 100,000 euros per month, another record in the Algerian league. These figures come amid a presence of five coaches from Tunisia and Algeria among the highest-paid, noting that foreign contracts are usually negotiated in euros and involve complex procedures for converting the amounts into the local currency.
