Demons Fans Troll City Again
The article focused on Manchester United fans' response to Manchester City's condemnation for over 100 violations of the English Premier League's financial rules. United supporters used their well-known sarcastic tactic of raising a banner referencing City's trophyless period, during a match against Tottenham Hotspur. The new banner read "51 years," highlighting the fans' disregard for the titles City has won over the past nine years. This approach has been used by supporters since 2000 to emphasize their teams' heroic periods. This campaign continues their longstanding hostility towards their neighbors, especially amid the financial fair play allegations against City, who denies any wrongdoing and is appealing the sanctions.
